Accommodations & Daily Schedule
Services/Amenities provided for the monthly board include:

- 10' x 12' Stall 
. Automatic Water, cleaned daily
. Low dust, bagged pine shavings
. Stall cleaning daily, 7 days a week

- Daily Turnout, 8AM - 3PM
. 7 days a week (weather permitting)
. 11 paddocks
. Automatic Water, cleaned daily
. Small turnout groups
. Fly Masks and Blankets will be put on and taken off at time of turnout, if provided by owner

- Daily Feeding
. Purina Strategy Complete Feed, fed twice daily
. Grass/Alfalfa, average 50/50 mix, fed three to four times daily, depending on turnout
. Supplements permitted, as long as bagged and labeled for each feeding

- Insect Control
. Non-toxic automatic fly spray in every stall, and in other facility areas
. FlyPredator pest control, non-toxic

- Keyed access tack and storage rooms

- Groom and Wash Stalls

- Full Bathrooms with heavy duty, large capacity washer and dryer

- Kitchen with viewing window for indoor arena

- Indoor Arena with fans and automatic watering, harrowed daily

- Expansive, Fenced Outdoor Arena

- Control Access Entry Gate

-Trailer Storage

- Grass trails provide on back property

- Stable personnel on site 24 hours a day
Additional Amenities Include:  

- All vaccination appointments are scheduled by Cielo Management with Janssen Veterinary Clinic. Individual owners are notified by e-mail and main communication board of appointment time and date. Owner is not required to be present for routine vaccination appointments. 

- Equine dental appointments are schedule by Cielo Management every six to eight months.

- Any approved trainer is permitted to give lessons at Cielo Ranch.

- Cielo is not discipline or breed specific

- Picnics and group outings

- Horse Showing at a variety of shows

- Other services are available on a case by case basis for an additional monthly fee. Such services include  but are not limited to; placement of turnout boots by stable personnel, bagged shavings, additional stall pressure washing, rotational worming administration, medication administration, etc. 







Daily Schedule

7:00AM – stable hand punches in, reads white boards for any feed or turn out changes before feeding hay then Strategy along with top-dressed AM supplements and/or medication.  While horses are eating, arenas are harrowed, paddock water dispensers are cleaned, etc., horses are dressed appropriately for weather conditions and if necessary, boots are put on.

 

8:00AM – turn out begins

 

8:30AM – turn out complete, stall cleaning begins

 

11:30AM – lunch hay is fed to all horses in their stalls at this time.  When necessary lunch hay will also be fed to horses in the paddocks approximately November through March.  Lunch hay is always fed to all horses when they are not turned out due to poor weather or paddock conditions

 

12:00PM – stall cleaning should be complete, all horses are in their stalls or in their paddocks eating lunch hay or grass, stable hands punch out for lunch

 

1:00PM – stable hands punch in from lunch, check on all horses in paddocks and stalls, work to be completed on a daily, weekly or monthly basis begins

 

3:30PM – PM hay should already be placed in stalls; water bowls cleaned, shavings replenished if needed.  All other daily, weekly or monthly work completed, horses are returned to their stalls and begin eating PM hay

 

4:00PM – Strategy has been fed along with PM supplements and/or medications top-dressed.  Stable hand punches out until bed check (unless there is other work that needs to be done such as helping to unload shavings semi or hay)

 

9:00PM – stable hand punches in for bed check, reads white boards before feeding hay in case an owner has requested their horse not have bed check hay.  The purpose of bed check is only to feed the last hay ration of the day and a final check on horses before lights out.  No other services will be provided at this time without an additional service fee.  OWNERS or their Emergency Care Provider will be called and expected to come immediately to the stable should their horse be in need of care.

 

9:30PM – stable hand punches out.  All lights will be turned off and interior doors locked.  Exterior doors and windows will be left open or closed depending on weather conditions.  OWNERS still in the stable at this time are expected to turn off lights, heaters, air-conditioners, arena fans and lights, close and lock all necessary doors before leaving.  During very cold weather when all large sliding exterior doors are closed and locked, the small main entrance, pass-through door must always remain unlocked!

 

There should be no one in the stable before 7:00AM and after 10:00PM without prior permission from STABLE for security reasons.  Arenas may not be used before 9:00AM or after 9:00PM without prior permission from STABLE.

 

Stable hands are only responsible to handle a horse when all other horses are being handled at the same time according to the above schedule unless instructed to do so by STABLE.  If you remove your horse at any point within this schedule you are responsible to provide the care that your horse has missed.

  

Please factor in enough time to take care of your horse from beginning to end when you come out to the stable. Also, please do not interfere or distract the stable hands from their work, unless it is an emergency or cannot be avoided.
